Places of Interest

Brundall is very close to all the Norfolk Broads. The nearest and I think the nicest is called Ranworth Broad. It is totally unspoilt and not at all touristy. There is a board walk to a floating wildlife visitor centre where one can take a boat trip. Ranworth also has a wonderful church which dates back to 1370. It has a famous painted rood screen and you can climb the steps and get a wonderful view from the church tower

Nearby in South Walsham is a lovely garden called Fairhaven. It’s beautiful ancient woodland garden leads to a private broad where there is something to see all year round.  In South Walsham there is a very good pub for a meal called The Ship.

This is only one of the Broads near to Brundall.

There is also the coast where you have the choice of busy places like Great Yarmouth or the quieter almost deserted beaches like Winterton where one can walk for miles.

Norwich is also nearby and easily accessed by car from the park and ride in the next village, or by bus almost outside my door or by train which only takes 9 minutes.

In Brundall, we have a posh restaurant called The Lavender House for special occasions, or in the next village there is a country pub called The Shoulder of Mutton which serves excellent home cooked food at very reasonable prices.

If you are intersted in wildlife then be sure to visit Wildlife Tours & Education.
